Argentina may be off their football game, but they are certainly showing a very strong game when it comes to hospitality. Le Voyage d’Amandine has settled down in the charming colonial town of Salta for a few days, always on the hunt for hidden gems to share with us. Slightly out of the town center, the luxurious Legado Mítico Salta - Pequeños Hoteles Emblematicos is one of them.. And what a good find!
With only 12 bedrooms, this characterful family house offers the perfect opportunity for a full privatization. Hard wood floor, large staircase, leather sofas, old paintings, a cozy library and a leafy patio.. You and your delegates would have all this to yourself. Some bedrooms enjoy a jaccuzi bath, when others have a large sunny balcony. Meet in the living room for a business talk during the day, or for a glass of wine in the evening; Wander around the old streets of Salta and discover the reach history of the region. Why is it that people from third world countries are such hospitable creatures? Is it true that they are just nice? I don't think so. I am not saying all of them have motives in mind, but you have to believe me when I say some of them are only interested in connecting with people who might give them a chance to get out of the country. They look at them like walking wallets. That's how my American friend described them. At first I did not believe it but I too was fooled by an old man before. The minute they found out you are broke, they are too quick to disappear.

I am going to need to start treating people a little more nicely than usual. No more excuses. I am tired of being labeled as the evil one. Maybe all my life I have been trying to get people to think highly of me but all I get is ridicule. I guess there really is nothing wrong with that. All I have to do is just treat people better and not look at them as if they are nothing but wallpapers with no feelings at all. I need to practice being kind. Kindness goes a long way.
